The Number of metro stations in will be increased from 25 to 51 until 2040, it has been reflected in General Plan for Baku City 2040, APA reports.
According to the project,
Until 2040, May 28 station will remain an important central hub of the metro network.
It is planned to separate green and red lines from each other in 28 May-Jafar Jabbarli switch station and to establish new supporting infrastructure until 2027.
The total length of the metro line network is expected to increase from the current 36.7 km to 76.2 km, and the number of stations from 25 to 51, until 2040.
