Number of users of Baku metro increased by 7%

During January-February of this year, the Baku Metro Operator CJSC transported 38.9 mln. passengers which is 6.8% as compared with relevant period of the last year, "APA-Economics" reports citing the State Statistics Committee.

During January-February, 2019, the number of passengers having used metro transport services was 36.4 mln.

Note that currently, the length of the metro track lines (and tonnels) in Baku equals to 36.6 kilometers, the number of track lines is 3, and the number of stations is 25. Currently, according to the conseptual development program at the Baku Metro Operator, the construction works are being continued. Based on the State Program, the total length of the underground tracks of the capital city will reach 119.1 km and the number of stations will be 76 by 2030.
