State Road Transport Center: Azerbaijani citizens who remained in Georgia were allowed to be brought to country

As a result of the decision on closure Sarp border crossing between Turkey and Georgia at 5:00 p.m Turkish time in the framework emergent measures against coronavirus epidemics on March 15, 2020, the entrance of buses on Istanbul-Baku regular routes has been restricted on the border, APA-Economics reports citing information released by State Road Transport Center.

Permission for transit pass of buses with 99 JH 866 and 34 EK 7002 state number plates, belonging to Vardar and Metro Companies, through Georgian border has been given at 2:30 p.m today due to certain security measures.

The passengers of the bus were provided with a special bus from the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, as the Metro Carrier of the Republic of Turkey was not allowed to cross the border.

Passengers will be able to relax at the SOCAR's petrol station in Lanchkhuti, Georgia, and will be provided with water and essential food.
