Transportation of new cargoes via BTK railway line being launched

ADY Express LLC being a subsidiary company of the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has started transportation of new kinds of goods via Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway. This time, the company has kicked off transportation of cargoes from Turkey to various regions of Azerbaijan, the ADY Express LLC told APA-Economics.

ADY Express together with its partners in Turkey and Georgia has succeeded in transporting from Turkey to Azerbaijan steel and plastic pipes and concrete columns.

The report says 250 tons of steel pipes loaded on 26 open railroad freight wagons have been delivered from Turkey to Azerbaijan’s Ganja City by being transported via BTK railway. Besides, 100 tons of plastic pipes loaded on 11 drop end wagons have been delivered from Turkey to Azerbaijan’s Shamkir City. Meanwhile, 600 tons of concrete columns loaded on low-sided freight wagons have been delivered from Turkey to Azerbaijan’s Absheron region via BTK railway.
