Due to the repair and restoration works carried out in Georgian part of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, ADY Container LLC (a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) CJSC) offers an alternative route to business customers to ensure the timely delivery of the cargoes to the destination stations, APA-Economics reports citing ADY.
With the new route, the cargoes will be delivered by ships to Georgia’s Poti and Batumi ports from Türkiye’s Derince, Mersin, Alsanjak, Marport and Evyap ports. In the ports, the containers will be transferred to the platforms and transported to the port of Baku by railway.
Later, the cargo will be sent to ports of Aktau in Kazakhstan and Turkmenbashi in Turkmenistan, and from there to their destination stations in Central Asia by railway.
