Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan may sign agreement for facilitation of transit

"Signing an agreement between customs bodies of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan in the field of facilitation of transit will positively impact international cargo transportations," said Samir Garalov, Deputy Chair of the Department of Organization of Customs Control and Facilitation of Trade of the State Customs Committee at a conference on "Prospective development of international automobile transportation in Azerbaijan", APA-Economics reports.

According to him, the mentioned agreement draft was developed in 2016 with the participation of three countries but has not been signed yet.

Samir Garalov has noted that both Georgia and Azerbaijan are ready to sign the document. He has addressed the TRACECA leadership, and called on them to help involvement of Kazakhstan in the process.

Samir Garalov has stressed signing of the agreement will greatly contribute to improvement and facilitation of the work of transporters within the framework of the TRACECA corridor by 100%.
