Azerigaz" Production Union laid 244.5 km of new gas pipelines in Azerbaijan in January-May this year, said Director- General of Sales for "Azerigaz" Production Union Rashad Javadov told journalists within "Open Door" campaign, APA-Economics reports.
Rashad Javadov noted that 31.1 km of gas pipelines laid during the reporting period fell to the share of Baku and Absheron, while 212.4 km to the regions.
Director-General also noted that within the gasification program in 2022, it is planned to gasify 69 villages and 62 new housing estates.
As of June 1, the level of gasification in the country was 96.3%.
