Azerbaijan-Turkiye Working Group on Transport and Communications holds first meeting

Azerbaijan-Turkiye Working Group on Transport and Communications held its first meeting in Baku on June 29-30, APA-Economics reports citing the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting, co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov and Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkiye Omar Fatih Sayan, was attended by officials from civil aviation, road and sea transport, railways, and communications.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the steps on attracting additional cargo flows to the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and the Central Corridor, increasing the efficiency of Ro-Ro transportation in the Caspian Sea, as well as more flexible regulation of transit cargo transportation and facilitation of transportation processes.
