Azerbaijan leaves behind several maritime nations on efficiency of seaport services index

Azerbaijan’s 2019 Efficiency Index of seaport services reached 68.6 and currently ranks 25th among 141 countries, APA-Economics reports citing the Global Competitiveness Report 2019 published by World Economic Forum (WEF).

According to the report, Azerbaijan excels the maritime countries like Canada (68.4), Ireland (66.7), New Zealand (65.6), Portugal (64.6) etc.

It is noteworthy that Singapore has the highest Efficiency Index of seaport services which amounts to 90.8 while Tajikistan’s index is the lowest (0.5).

It should be noted that the index based frequency, punctuality, speed and price of seaport services.
