Azerkosmos, operating under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, and the Swiss Signalhorn company signed another cooperation agreement, APA-Economics reports.

Under the contract, the Signalhorn company has started providing Internet services at sea over the European broadcast beam of the Azerspace-1 satellite. The resources of the Azerspace-1 satellite are transferred from the teleport belonging to the "Signalhorn" company directly to the cruise ships moving in the Mediterranean Sea.

Notably, Azerkosmos continues to improve broadband communication capabilities at sea, which is one of the main segments of the global satellite communication market. At present, reliable and stable internet services are provided on ships moving in the Caspian, Black, and Azov Seas, the Iranian Gulf, the Volga River, and the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea through the Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2 satellites.
