The construction of the Aghdam-Fuzuli highway, the foundation of which was laid during the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva to the Fuzuli region on October 17, 2021, is rapidly underway, APA reports.
The mentioned road is considered one of the projects conducted in the territory of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions and will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the regions and villages liberated from occupation.
The road, which will be 64.8 km long and 15 meters wide, is constructed with 4 lanes. The road shoulder width is 3.75 meters in each direction, the width of the separating lane is 2 meters, and the width of the roadbed is 26.5 meters. Construction of a 380-meter-long retaining wall is underway on the technical grade I road.
