The construction of the Talish-Tapgaragoyunlu-Gashalti sanatorium (Naftalan city), the foundation of which was laid by President Ilham Aliyev on October 3, 2021, in Tartar district, is rapidly underway, APA reports citing the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads.
The new highway, 22 kilometers in length, will connect 4 settlements.
19 km section of the new Talish-Tapgaragoyunlu-Gaşaltı sanatorium (Naftalan city) highway is built according to the II technical grade, while and 3 km section under the IV technical grade. Accordingly, the width of the road section under the project will be 9 meters in the 19 km section and 6 meters in the 3 km section, and the width of the soil bed will be 15 and 10 meters.
As part of the construction works, unsuitable soil was excavated at different depths in the first 9 km of the road, and a new roadbed and road base was built by backfilling. Construction works of new water pipes and rectangular passages of different diameters have been carried out to ensure water transfer. According to the requirements of "Construction Norms and Rules," a new asphalt-concrete surface was laid on the road as a sub-layer.
