Construction of TransCaspian Optic to connect Azerbaijan with Kazakhstan launched

A ceremony on launching TransCaspian Fiber Optic lines construction planned to be laid through the bottom of the Caspian Sea between Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan has been held in Aktau city of Kazakhstan, APA-Economics reports.

Some times ago, the main initiator and organizer of the project AzerTelecom company has signed a contract with Transtelecom and KazTransCom companies for the construction of  TransCaspian Fiber Optic lines.

The construction of TransCaspian lines to be 400 km length will be completed in 2021.  The ability to transmit information of Fiber-optic communication channel that to unite Europe and Asia will be 4-6 Tb/s.
