In January-April of this year, volume of freights in the Azerbaijani part of Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia (TRACECA) made up 15 124, 6 thousand tonnes, and this is 11% more than in annual comparison, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
8,362.3 thousand tons or 55.3% of the freight was carried by road, 4,949.7 thousand tons or 32.7% by railway transportation, and 1,812.6 thousand tons or 12% was carried by sea transported.
"Transit cargo accounted for 25.5% or 3,863,100 tons of cargo transported through the corridor," the statement said.
