Import of mobile phones to Azerbaijan increased by more than 23%

121,757 telephone sets for mobile and other wireless communication networks have imported in Azerbaijan in April of the current year, State Statistics Committee told APA Economics.

According to the State Statistics Committee in comparison to March, the increase of import has been 23,3% in April.

The cost of imported products was $ 11 779,2 thousand in April, which is 3,5% more than in comparison to the indicator in March.

“In January-April of the current year, 354 068 mobile devices have been imported to the country. The increase in import has been 55,7% in comparison to the same period of the last year. The cost of imported goods has amounted to $ 41,256,800, which exceeds the indicator for January-April of the last year by 82.1%", the committee said.
