"Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund is working on the project of establishment of an international transit logistics center in Kyzyl-Kyya city of Batken region of Kyrgyzstan," said Head of Cabinet of Minister Akylbek Japarov at a meeting of the Cabinet of the Kyrgyz Republic held under chairmanship of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov on July 14, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, a new facility is planned to be built on the site of the old city airport in Kyzyl-Kiya, the technical and economic justification of the project is already ready.
"We hope that this project will open a new trade route from China to the Fergana Valley and then to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as to Europe," said Akylbek Japarov.
