Number of foreign companies involved in demining in liberated areas announced

“Taking into account the importance of clearing of the liberated areas from mines and unexploded ordnance for implementing large-scale projects, Demining Agency has been provided with necessary material and technical resources, said Prime Minister Ali Asadov at the presentation of the report on the activity of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2022, APA reports.

According to the minister, alongside ANAMA, Defence Ministry, MES, State Border Service and 4 local private companies were involved in demining operations in those areas: “As a result of the measures done, in total 65,000 hectares, including 44,000 hectares in 2022, have been cleared."
