Number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan increases by 2,3 times

In January-July of this year, 832 thousand foreigners from 171 countries of the world or stateless people or 2,3 times more in comparison to the relevant period of the previous year visited Azerbaijan, State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.

According to the information, 26.4 percent of the arrivals came from the Russian Federation, 21 percent from Turkiye, 11.6 percent from Iran, 6.8 percent from Saudi Arabia, 4.8 percent from Georgia, 3.0 percent from Pakistan, 2.6 percent from India, and 2.5 percent from the United Arab Emirates. , 2 percent from Ukraine, 1.9 percent from Kazakhstan, 1.5 percent from Kuwait, 1.4 percent from Israel and Oman each, 1.2 percent from Great Britain and Uzbekistan, and 10.7 percent were citizens of other countries. 75.3 percent of those who visited the country were men, and 24.7 percent were women.
