Official Presidential website underwent more than 4 mln. DDOS attacks per second during anti-terror measures - Deptartment Head

“When Azerbaijan started the anti-terror measures, numerous attacks to the internet resources of government institutions were registered,” Tural Mammadov, Department head of Special Communication and Information Security State Service of Azerbaijan said at a press conference, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, these attacks are prevented successfully.

“One of such attacks were inflicted upon the website of the country’s President. More than 4 million botnet requests and DDOS attacks were recorded per second. At the same time, cyber attacks from fake domains are increasing. But our experts prevent these cyber attacks. They try to prevent such attacks from harming state institutions. In this direction, we operate in a strengthened working mode,” Tural Mammadov added.
