“The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan can pay more attention to green investing”, said Senior Specialist for Environment, Natural Resources and Blue Economy of the World Bank's Europe and Central Asia Sustainable Development Department, Sacha Eichberger during his speech, APA-Economics reports.
He stressed that the social burden of this field is so high.
“In a number of countries such as Saudi Arabia etc., this is a fairly justified choice. As for green finance, the public sector should work on certain policies to create fertile ground for the private sector. Once the private sector joins this process, many new jobs are created. The benefits are many. The private sector has a huge role to play in supporting efficiency”, said a Senior Specialist.
