"Sad reality of our time is that many countries of the world face post-conflict rehabilitation challenge of residential settlements as a result of military conflicts," said Anar Guliyev, Chairman of State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan at Azerbaijan National Urban Forum in Aghdam, APA reports.
"Within a short period of time, the Committee provided development of the General Plan of the entire region liberated from occupation. The development of the master plans of Aghdam and many other cities and villages has already been completed, and the design of hundreds of settlements is currently underway. During the preparation of master plans, modern "smart city" approaches, "green energy" and clean environment, complex development of industry and agriculture, wide realization of tourism potential, etc. issues like this have been prioritized," noted Chairman.
