Uzbekistan intends to jointly use opportunities of Baku Port

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khodjaev held a meeting with Management of Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) and Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC on the sideline of his visit to Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports citing Uzbek Press.

During the talk, perspectives of establishing investment, transport and logistics cooperation based on joint usage of resources and opportunities of the port and AFEZ were discussed.

As well as the issues of implementation of joint projects in the field of production of food, leather and shoes, textiles and other high value-added products that are in demand in the Zone and organization of export to European Union, CIS and other countries were discussed with the Head of AFEZ Valeh Alasgarov.
