AZAL holds 2 percent of Georgian air market

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) carried 32,992 passengers to Georgia in the first half of 2016, with its 2 percent share in this country’s air market, according to the message from the Georgia Civil Aviation Agency.

Georgian and foreign air carriers served a total of 562,366 passengers during the reporting period.

Turkish Airlines remains a dominant in the Georgian air market, with its 12 percent share. Turkish Airlines carried 189,542 passengers in the first six months of 2017.

Turkish Airlines is followed by Ukraine International Airlines (146,699) and local Airzena company (143,327).
