Azerbaijan, Belarus to build tractor plant in Turkey

Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ) and Ganja Automobile Plant (GAP) will start to produce tractor in Turkey.

 

According to Turkish press, the MTZ Director General Fyodor Domotenko said that a contract has been signed with GAP.  

 

According to the contract, in the first stage, tractors assembled in Azerbaijan will be sold to Turkey, in the next stage, the tractors will be assembled in Turkey.  

 

“Our planned budget is $5 million at the first stage”, Domotenko said.

 

Chairman of GAP Supervisory Board Khanlar Fatiyev said that it’s planned to deliver 2,500-3,000 techniques top Turkey in the first three years: “This goal can only be reached by building a joint venture in Turkey”.
