Azerbaijan announces non-working days for 2018

The Labor and Social Protection Ministry of Azerbaijan has approved the industry calendar and norms of working time in 2018.

According to the Ministry, in 2017 the days of January 1,2 – New Year, January 20 – Day of National Mourning, March 8 – Day of Women, March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 – Novruz Holiday, May 9 – Victory Day, May 28 – Independence Day, June 15 – National Salvation Day, June 15, 17 – Ramadan Holiday (Eid-al-Fitr), June 26 – Day of Armed Forces, , August 22, 23 - Eid-al-Adha, November 9 – State Flag Day and December 31 – International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis are non-working days.

As the weekends coincide with non-working days and one day of Ramadan Holiday coincides with the day of National Salvation Day, January 3, March 26, June 18, 19 in the five-day working week and January 3 and June 18 in the six-day working week are the days of rest.
