Azerbaijan creating national aviation corporation

Baku – APA. Azerbaijan may establish a national aviation corporation, Russia’s newspaper Trud (Labor) writes.

In this regard, a plan has already been presented to the Azerbaijani leadership, according to the newspaper.

“The corporation, in many respects, will be similar to the United Aircraft Corporation. The establishment of the cooperation is aimed at development of promising aviation technologies and productions,” the newspaper writes. “Because of this the former general designer of Ukraine's Antonov Aviation Company, Dmitry Kiva, has been offered a job in Azerbaijan.”

In his interview to Trud, Dmitry Kiva, who is currently in Azerbaijan, said he intends to contribute to the development of the aviation sector in the country.

“Azerbaijan has a strong desire to establish its own aviation industry. Therefore, I believe that there is a will. We will do our utmost,” noted Kiva.

The newspaper notes that from the last sentence, it can be concluded that Kiva has arrived in Baku togheter with like-minded people.
