Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. As of November 1, 2016, the number of economically active population made 4,994,800 in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.
The State Statistical Committee says number of hired workers made 1,516,400, including 886,700 workers in state sector, 629,700 in non-state sector, 34,300 in oil sector, 1,482,100 in non-oil sector.
Number of official unemployed population made 33,700 as of November 1, 2016, of which 37.9% of them were women.
Average amount of allowance for unemployment stood at AZN 241.9.
