A stone inscription engraved in the ancient Aramaic alphabet was discovered in the administrative area of the Sheki-Zagatala economic district, Akif Mammadli, senior researcher of the Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, doctor of philosophy in history told APA's Northern bureau.
According to A. Mammadli, a stone inscription inscribed in the ancient Aramaic alphabet was discovered during the research: "We can say that this discovery is an interesting innovation for the history of the region."
A. Mammadli noted that the article is still in the research stage and that it would be inappropriate to provide any further data at this point.
The researcher stated that a presentation of the museum, which has thousands of exhibits reflecting the region's history, as well as the writing stone, will be held soon.
