XIII congress of the Azerbaijani Writers’ Union is being held today, APA reports.
Participants of the congress visited the Alley of Honnor and Martyrs.
Then the congress started at Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater.
At the invitation of Writers’ Union more than twenty guests from Turkiye, Russia, Israel, Pakistan, Georgia, Germany, Lithuania, Iraq, Belarus and Iran are attending the congress.
Note that the last congress of the Union was held in 2014, and People’s writer Anar was elected as a chairman.
