“Turkey is obliged to purchase S-400s until setting up its air defense system. After a certain period of time, Turkey will set up its air defense system," AKP Secretary General Numan Kurtulmush said, ONA reports.
According to him, the USA’s disagreement about this issue is not understandable, because purchasing of S-400s by Turkey does not harm NATO, and Turkey insistently calls the USA for comprehension.
“Turkey as a NATO member is US's allied country since 1952. Turkey has met all the needs of NATO in this regard. The USA’s doubtful approach to Turkey which is an important country in NATO, as well as within the boundaries of South Europe does not meet the terms of the alliance. The USA has to understand Turkey. Turkey will insist until the USA will agree on this issue."
