Russian President Vladimir Putin and the permanent members of the national Security Council have discussed the situation in Venezuela, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, ONa reports citing TASS.

"The meeting’s participants paid much attention to the situation in Venezuela in light of the news about an attempted coup," he noted.

Note that the leader of Venezuela's opposition, Juan Guaidó, on Tuesday declared "the start of the end of the usurpation," in a dawn address in which he was flanked by men in military fatigues and armored vehicles in the capital Caracas.
