A panel is held on the theme “Challenges to Sustainable Development” within the framework of the 7th Global Baku Forum, ONA reports.
The moderator of the panel has been the professor of the Columbian University Jeffrey Sachs.
J. Sachs stated that the world economy does not secure the Sustainable Development:
“We have a huge negative impact on the environment. The environment is used reinless which adversely affects biodiversity. The water level of the ocean has increased, air has polluted and they influence the quality of food. We need to get rid of traditional types of fuels. We should prefer renewable energy,” he stated.
