Theresa May has written to Donald Tusk, the President of the European Council, asking the EU for a further delay to Brexit to 30 June, ONAreports.

"The United Kingdom proposes that the extension should end on June 30 2019. If the parties are able to ratify before this date, the government proposes that the period should be terminated earlier", May wrote in a letter to Donald Tusk.

Note that PM May will travel to Brussels on 10 April for an emergency European Council meeting where EU leaders will decide whether or not to agree to the UK's request.
