"We have signed a deal with Russia and Turkey wants to receive the S-400 systems", Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu told journalists in a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart after meeting of 7th Russian-Turkish Joint Strategic Planning Group, ONA reports.

"Some countries did not want to deliver us these systems, that is why we signed an agreement with Russia. The agreement is in force and what we expect from the treaty?! We expect to be completed, this is why we signed it. When other countries voice their disagreement with the policies of other countries, this goes against international politics and norms. We signed an agreement with Russia and what other countries think about it has nothing to do with us, has nothing to do with this deal. Russia can sell us its S- 400 systems as long as it wants, as many of them as at once."

"Some parts of S-400 systems are produced in Turkey already, we cannot just go back on this deal," Cavusoglu said.

"We also here have controversial statements from the US. The US Congress and President Trump have made very strange statements but they can say whatever they want, the Republic of Turkey has signed a deal with Russia. And this deal will be implemented and the systems will be delivered to Turkey," Turkish minister added.
