"The UK’s extension request is neither assured nor automatic," Secretary of State for European Affairs of France, Amelie De Montchalin told reporters, APAreports.

“France’s position has not changed. The UK’s extension request is neither assured nor automatic. It is extremely important that this request is accompanied by a credible political plan," she said.

Today EU ministers are meeting in Luxembourg a day before 27 national leaders of the bloc will decide during afternoon talks in Brussels on whether to allow Britain another extension to try to break the deadlock in London over Brexit.
