APA Holding President Vusala Mahirgizi, who is paying a visit to Iran, has visited an international press exhibition in Tehran.

APA’s Tehran bureau reports that Vusala Mahirgizi was first invited to the pavilion of Iran’s Quran News Agency (IQNA), where she met with the agency’s leadership and held discussions.

Next, Vusala Mahirgizi met with Ali Mottaghian, Director General of ISNA news agency.

"Our expectation from the Iranian media is consistent coverage of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict because this territory is part of the Islamic world. Armenia destroys mosques in the occupied territories and shows disrespect for religious monuments. Due to fear of being shot, civilians are unable to visit the graves of their close ones. We want the Iranian media not to refer to other sources, but to the Azerbaijani media, when publishing news about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” she stressed.

Ali Mottaghian said that ISNA is one of the leading agencies.

"I hope that the cooperation agreement between APA and ISNA will enable both sides to exchange news. ISNA, which is the agency with the widest connections in Iran, is a reliable source of information. Our reports are selected from among students who we train first and then start working with. We try to provide our readers with accurate and unbiased news,” he said.

Vusala Mairgizi also visited the pavilion of Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and gave an interview to Iran’s state television.
