Distributing experiences in the field of regulation of audiovisual media is essential for our countries, said Elmir Valizade, Head of the Digital Media Sector of the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan at the first meeting of the Regulatory body of member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on Audiovisual Media, APA reports.
He noted cooperation in these fields will serve to convey true information to the general public regarding the events occur in Turkic states: “Azerbaijan possesses experiment in the field of regulation of audiovisual field. Azerbaijan has been among the first countries that switched to digital television in the region. The recently adopted law “on Media” conforms to the international experience and covers the regulation of audiovisual field which is a part of the media. The media cooperation betweeen Azerbaijan and Türkiye continues to develop. Improving this cooperation between the member countries of OTS is one of the priorities.”
