"Situation in Kharkiv is critical. The city is under siege," Head of "Haqqin.az" website Eynulla Fatullayev, who is in Kharkiv, told APA.
According to him, Russian Army fires the city with heavy artillery now.
"People are sheltering in subways, basements. All stores are closed. Food shortage is experienced. The lives of people are in danger. I should note that several projectiles have fallen in center of the city a few hours ago," noted the journalist.
He has stressed that the Ukrainian Army is resisting: "There is high spirit, Ukrainian servicemen resist. Heavy battles continue."
