"Institutional development of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has been achieved between ANAMA and United Nations Development Programme Azerbaijan (UNDP) to ensure the safe return of internally displaced persons. The project is financed by the European Union," says the head of ANAMA Vugar Suleymanov, APA reports.

According to him, within the framework of the project, it is planned to create a new demining team in Azerbaijan: "This team will work under a non-governmental organization. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to create the first women's demining group in Azerbaijan. In addition, demining dogs and mine-detecting rats will be brought to Azerbaijan and will participate in the demining operation. At the same time, the improvement of the information system will be implemented within the project. The duration of the project is planned for 18 months, but we hope that the project will be sustainable."
