"Azerbaijan established a strong partnership with NATO, jointly contributed to international security, and supported NATO's peacekeeping activities in Kosovo and Afghanistan," said Jafar Huseynzade, head of Azerbaijan's Delegation to NATO, at the high-level conference on "Women for Sustainable Tomorrow" held at ADA University.
"Our military contingent in Afghanistan worked shoulder to shoulder with peacekeepers from the alliance countries.
Azerbaijani peacekeepers were one of the countries that left Afghanistan last, we supported the evacuation process until the last moment. It was hailed by the NATO Secretary General and other officials. Our cooperation covers various fields. We have political dialogue and practical cooperation with NATO," he stated.
