Demining equipment, imported on the basis of ANAMA document, to be exempted from VAT and customs duty

Import of all machinery, equipment, technical tools, and devices, their spare parts, individual armored protective clothing, tools, mine-detection dogs, and pyrotechnic means on the basis of confirmation document of Azerbaijan National Agency of Mine Action (ANAMA) within the framework of clearance of territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, liberated from occupation, as well as other territories, subjected to impact of war and military operations from mines and unexploded ordnances, devices, which contain explosive substances and other explosive remainings, is exempted from value-added tax for five years from October 15, 2021, it has been reflected in the amendment on Tax Code, application of which has been signed by President Ilham Aliyev today, APA reports.

At the same time, according to the Law "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan" On Customs Tariffs" signed by President Ilham Aliyev, import of all machinery, equipment, technical tools, and devices, their spare parts, individual armored protective clothing, tools, mine-detection dogs, and pyrotechnic means on the basis of confirmation document of Azerbaijan National Agency of Mine Action (ANAMA) within the framework of clearance of territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, liberated from occupation, as well as other territories, subjected to impact of war and military operations from mines and unexploded ordnances, devices, which contain explosive substances and other explosive remainings, is exempted from customs duties for five years from October 15, 2021.

Both laws are applied from October 15, 2021.
