On August 3, members of illegal Armenian armed groups on the territory of Azerbaijan, where the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is temporarily stationed committed terror-provocation act against the Units of Azerbaijani Army by grossly violating provisions of the statement dated November 10, 2020, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence said, APA reports.
“Moreover, the elements of illegal Armenian armed forces attempted to capture Gyrkhgyz height located in mountain range covering Kalbajar and Lachin regions, and to establish their new combat positions.
As a result of the retaliatory operation "Revenge" carried out by the units of the Azerbaijani Army, the Gyrkhgyz heights, as well as Saribaba along the Karabakh ridge of the Lesser Caucasus mountain range and a number of other important commanding heights were taken under control.
