Now women also attend demining operations: British ambassador

“Active participation of women in Great Return should be a significant element,” said the ambassador of Great Britain to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld at the high-level conference "Women for Sustainable Tomorrow" held at ADA University, APA reports.

“When I was on a visit to Aghdam recently, I saw how large scale the destructions were. It is clear that demining of these areas is important for the return. I am glad that Britain is one of the first international partners supporting ANAMA in demining process,” noted the ambassador.

The ambassador emphasized that a women's team already participates in the demining operations conducted by ANAMA with the support of Britain.
