The leadership of the Ministry of Defense visited the Military Police Department on the occasion of its 31st anniversary.
Defense Ministry's leadership paid tribute to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, laid a wreath at the bust erected in the area, Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan told APA.
The leadership of the Ministry signed the Distinguished Visitors’ Book.
Then the leadership of the Ministry of Defense viewed the indoor and sports halls, outdoor sports facilities, as well as the football field. They also met with servicemen who distinguished themselves in various sports competitions and contests held in the Azerbaijan Army. The leadership of the Ministry was provided with detailed information about the achievements of the servicemen.
Subsequently, military vehicles were viewed in the car park of the Military Police Department, relevant recommendations were made on maintaining the technical performance of vehicles at a high level, as well as paying special attention to their use and operation in accordance with the instructions.
After the report of the Chief of the Military Police Department, Lieutenant Colonel Elgun Aliyev, on the activities of the military police and the organization of the troops’ service, the activities of various checkpoints of the country were monitored via video surveillance.
Then the leadership of the ministry met with the servicemen, inquired about their concerns, and wished them success in their honorable and responsible service.
The tasks assigned by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev to the military personnel of the Azerbaijan Army were delivered to the relevant high-ranking officers.
It was brought to the personnel that the combat experience of the Azerbaijani Army is being studied by the armies of many developed countries of the world after the glorious victory in the Patriotic War under the command of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
It was brought to attention that today the Azerbaijan Army continues its successful activity thanks to the firm will of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief.
It was noted that 7 military policemen, whose activities were highly appreciated by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense during the Patriotic War and in the subsequent period, became shahids (martyrs) in the First Karabakh War, and 3 servicemen in the Second Karabakh War, and many of them were awarded various orders and medals.
It was emphasized that the personnel of the military police performed all the assigned tasks along with other military personnel of the Azerbaijan Army.
It was noted that the collaboration of the military police with other government agencies positively contribute to maintaining discipline in the Azerbaijan Army.
The personnel of the Military Police expressed gratitude for the conditions created and stressed that they are proud to serve in the Azerbaijan Army at this historic moment.
At the event, the order of the Minister of Defense on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the establishment of the military police was read out and a group of servicemen who distinguished themselves in the service was awarded.
In the end, the leadership of the Ministry was presented with the first copy of the book "My military police" by Honored Art Worker, Colonel Abdulla Gurbani, which reflects the history and service activities of the military police and a photo was taken.
