“Armenians haven’t given up the dream of establishment of hegemonic Armenia state in the region for 100 years. During the recent 30 years, trhe seizure of the Azerbaijani lands by them through occupation and massacres is a manifestation of this intention. Regrettably, the world community anmd relevant international organizations still remain silent in regard to this situation”, politologist, member of the Turkish parliament of the 20th convocation Adil Asirim told APA’s local bureau.
He said the states pursuing their benefits in the region use the terrorist attacks of the provocateur Armenia in order to cut all relations of Turkey with Azerbaijan and the Caucasian region.
According to A. Asirim, Nagorno Garabagh is as significant for Turkey as Cyprus and even more significant than the latter: “Because while Cyprus surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea is a strategic place for Turkey, Garabagh is the guarantor of Turkey’s eternal existence in Anatolia”.
The Turkish politologist noted that if the unjust attacks of Armenians are not prevented, this may yield grave results not only for Azerbaijan but also for Turkey: “Just as Armenia seized Irevan, Zangezur being Azerbaijan’s historical land, it will not give up its ambition to capture Garabagh today and Turkey’s eastern part tomorrow in the same way and it will continue its terrorist attacks. Therefore, we stand with our brothers by blood. I wish Azerbaijan victory in its righteous fight”.
