“The status-quo has been changed by Azerbaijan’s counteroffensive”, said Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev at the briefing today, APA reports.

H. Hajiyev said Armenia’s occupation policy has been strengthening day by day during 30 years: “Armenia implemented artificial settlement policy in Jabrail, on other occupied territories and no response was given to this step of Armenia. Now, there is not already a notion of contact line. Armenia wanted to present the contact line as the notion of the alleged border between the so-called regime and Azerbaijan”.

Assistant to Azerbaijani President said that the first stage of peaceenforcement operation has successfully been completed: “As a response to the call of the international community, Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in the negotiations in Moscow under instruction of Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The temporary ceasefire is a step that comes from the Geneva Convention. However, Armenia uses it too, violates ceasefire, and foreign journalists in the sites note it.”

H. Hajiyev brought to the attention that Jabrayil and its villages, as well as Hadrut settlement in Nagorno Garabagh and surrounding villages were liberated during 10 days: "It is a great psychological blow to Armenia. Conflicts do not continue in only military ways, but also military-political ways. We should continue the achievements of our soldiers in the diplomatic frontline. As a continuation of our military successes, our dominance in diplomatic-political frontline also continues."
