Azerbaijan’s MFA: Armenia’s military and political leaders bear whole responsibility for bloody crime committed on border

On September 21, 2020, Armenia’s armed forces resorted to another provocation on the site of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz region of the Armenia-Azerbaijan international border. As a result of the fire opened by the enemy forces from a portable firearm, a military serviceman of the Azerbaijani Army Mammadov Elshan Ali was martyred, the Press service department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.

The committing of this bloody provocation after the last statement of Armenia’s MFA telling about the provision of peace in the region and the regional security and the statement of this country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs calling for a peaceful solution of the conflict is the bright demonstration of the fact that the actual intention of Armenia’s leaders is not peace but a continuation of aggression.

May God has mercy on our martyr who died for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state while protecting the internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan,” the statement reads.
