Another exchange of prisoners took place between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as a result, two Azerbaijanis who were in captivity were brought to Baku and four Armenians - to Yerevan, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, told reporters on Monday, APA reports quoting TASS.

"Today, in order to implement the trilateral statement of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia of November 9, 2020, another exchange of prisoners was carried out. As a result of the work carried out by the Russian peacekeepers under my personal control, a Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft delivered to Baku two Azerbaijanis held captive and returned four prisoners to Erebuni," - said Muradov.

Four Armenian prisoners returned to Armenia with the mediation of Russia and the International Committee of the Red Cross, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan said this, APA reports quoting Sputnik Armenia.

According to him, the relatives have already been informed about their return. The prisoners are under the supervision of doctors and will receive the necessary medical and moral and psychological assistance.

He noted that the process of exchange of prisoners will continue.
