Azerbaijan sends a note to France, ambassador summoned to Foreign Ministry

On November 26, 2020, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Zacharie Gross has been summoned to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, press service of the Ministry told APA.
According to the Ministry, at the meeting, a note of protest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan was presented to the Ambassador in connection with the adoption of the resolution "Necessity of recognition of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" by the French Senate on November 25 this year.
Strong protest against the resolution of Senate, which contradicts the norms and principles of international law, the UN Charter, the Helsinki Final Act, the relevant UN Security Council resolutions of 1993 was brought to the attention of French Ambassador.
The French ambassador noted that the position of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry will be brought to the attention of Paris.
