Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan has addressed an appeal to voters of the Armenian community, the Community told APA.

The information reads that all conditions have been provided for all citizens of the country, having suffrage, to express their will freely in the elections which will be held to the Parliament (Milli Majlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 9, 2020,  in accordance with relevant articles of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

“Each candidate conducts its propaganda campaign using the equal opportunities developed in accordance with election legislation of the Azerbaijan Republic. The campaign conducted by every candidate can be followed in any part of the world over the social networks.

It is regretful that the military aggression of Armenia against our country and occupation of our lands by Armenia in addition to exposing Azerbaijanis to ethnic cleansing also deprived the Armenian residents living on the occupied territories of the Azerbaijan Republic of the opportunity to implement directly their voting rights in the mentioned elections.

As a result of the military aggression of Armenia, the territory of our country’s 7 constituencies was fully occupied, and the territory of 3 constituencies was partly occupied. As the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Garabagh region of Azerbaijan Republic we appeal to the Armenian voters affiliated with the occupied Khankendi and Shusha, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khojavend constituencies and call them to make a choice among the candidates having passed registration in relevant constituencies in the forthcoming snap election to the Azerbaijani Parliament and express their attitude to the persons being the parliamentary candidates”, the appeal says.
